Thailand Update: Good news on the Horizon as our country Reopens!
Hello Travelers!
Effective on November 1st
- Visitors flying in from the listed 63 countries are permitted to enter Thailand with no quarantine.
- Curfew has been lifted (only some areas still have the 11pm-3am curfew).
- If you are a wine lover or want a nice brandy while dining with friends, now you can as alcohol consumption in hotels and restaurants that meet SHA (Safety & Health Administration) standard is permitted.
We all thought 2021 was going to be better than 2020, but it proved to be yet another tough year, especially for us Travelers. However things are starting to look up again!
Things are starting to open up again and going back to normal, but there are still 7 provinces in the Dark Red Zone (maximum controlled/strict zones): Chantaburi, Tak, Nakhon Sri Thammarat, Narathiwas, Pattani, Yala, and Songkhla. And 38 provinces in the Red Zone.
Alcohol consumption in hotels and restaurants is now permitted if they meet SHA (Safety & Health Administration) standard. You can only get it before 9 PM in Bangkok.
Foreigners wanting to enter the country are required to have the Thailand Pass, which launched on November 1st. Fully vaccinated travelers against COVID-19 from the 63 nations must also take 2 RT-PCR COVID tests (72 hrs before flight and on arrival day at the hotel). Travelers must stay in SHA Plus hotel at least 1 day while waiting for the result. Then you must take an Antigen self-test kit on day 6-7 of your trip.
