Bangkok Beyond joins World Animal Protection on its cause for worldwide animal welfare
It is with great pleasure that we are joining World Animal Protection on their initiative on the global cause for world-wide animal preservation with the help of the government entities and private sectors around the globe. A couple of weeks ago, we signed a pledge agreement to World Animal Protection Office for their campaign about animal welfare and to spread awareness to stop animal suffering.
World Animal Protection is a science-based organization and has spent years researching the methods employed to procure the elephants used in tourist entertainment as well as the cruel and inhumane methods required to break them and the ongoing suffering they experience throughout their long lives in captivity.
The initiative seeks to put an end to the suffering of wild animals in tourist entertainment and aims to keep them in the wild, where they belong. A primary focus of the campaign is the use of elephants for rides and shows.
As part of our advocacy to support responsible tourism, we, at Bangkok Beyond will stop selling tickets to elephant camps, shows, and rides. But we can still take you to the wildlife areas where visitors can still see and interact with these animals.
We are really glad to become part of the solution to support humane initiatives to keep animals in the wild (or in the next best thing – true sanctuaries) and enable tourists to see wildlife responsibly.
