Central Thailand’s Vineyards and Wineries
If you find yourself in Thailand and also a wine lover like me, there are vineyards around Thailand that you can visit and indulge yourself in some wine tasting activities.
A new type of tourism was born for wine lovers as wine culture grows in the country. Fortunately, some vineyards and wineries in Thailand will let you discover their products and offer visits and accommodations of your choice. Though historically speaking, wine may not be a part of Thai culture, but since the early ‘90s the country has been in the production of grapes for wine-making in a tropical climate and is safe to say that the quality of Thai wines has significantly improved over the years.
Here is the list of best vineyards and wineries in Thailand that will surely satisfy all wine lovers around the world.
PB Valley
Covering an area of 400 hectares, PB Valley Khao Yai Winery is one of the largest vineyards in the country and was the first vineyard and winery to open in Thailand.
Located in a two-hour drive northeast of Bangkok, on the edge of Khao Yai National Park. From Chenin Blanc to Cabernet Sauvignon to Shiraz to Pinot Noir, and some grape varieties are cultivated at PB Valley. Vineyard and winery also have a restaurant, a store, and guided tours are available.

Hua Hin Hills Vineyard
Nestled in the mountain ranges and 560 acres of green countryside, Hua Hin Hills has tucked away in a remote part of Hua Hin, about 36km from the town center. The vineyard offers a delightful excursion, complete with wine-tasting and dining opportunities. You can combine the trip with a visit to Wat Huay Mongkol and Baan Silapin, both are en-route to Hua Hin Hills.

Grand Monte
GranMonte (‘Big Mountain’ in Italian) is 16 hectares vineyard located in Asoke Valley, Khao Yai, 160 km northeast of Bangkok. Producing wine and table grapes, it grows Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin Blanc and many other lesser-known varieties of grape. The Montino Cellar Door offers guided tours with wine tasting at the winery’s store and if you to visit both the vineyard and winery there’s a guesthouse are available. The Heritage Syrah (red) and Spring Chenin Blanc (white) — their most renowned wine labels have won several international awards since 2010.
