Chonburi

Chonburi is both a province and a neighboring seaside town of Bangkok. You can find the Chonburi Province 80 kilometers from the capital lying beside the bay of Bangkok on the northern end of the Gulf Thailand. Chonburi’s famous spot is Pattaya, one of the most frequented beach resorts and preferred tourist destinations in Asia.

Mueang Bang Sai, Mueang Bang Pla Soi and Mueang Bang Phra are few of the original small towns of Chonburi.

King Rama V is responsible for merging these small towns making them the Chonburi Province of today. Chonburi literally means the “town or city of water”.
