Summer Street in Ari: Open-air seafood BBQ

Summer Street in Ari is one of the hottest names in Bangkok’s street food scene right now, and you can see why. This cool, little food truck is the brainchild of three creative designers with a passion for fresh street food. The seafood sets (from 399 thb upwards) come with king prawns, scallops, squid, mussels and oysters, and even the smallest set is big enough for 2 people to share, which in my opinion is great value.

This cool little food truck has been skyrocketing in popularity since opening for business just a couple of years ago. It’s a concept dreamt up by a couple of friends with backgrounds in design, and the passion for visual detail really shows here.

The fun element is cooking it yourself over a charcoal grill at your table while sipping a cold drink from an international selection of beers and ciders. It gets very busy at weekends, so head there early to skip the queues (although it’s best to avoid Friday and Saturday as it gets incredibly busy) while perhaps snacking on a couple of oysters. As you do. I really love this place, and I think it should definitely be on your list.
